That second photo has a great collection of facial hair of various types. I like the style of that one guy toward the right of the photo where he's got short but thick hair, a shaved sideburn area, and then a thick beard.

That Dewey had a nice nose. I have glasses just like those! But not the nose.

As for Zamenhof:

[<a href="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a3/Melvil_Dewey.jpg">Link</a>]

And L. L. Zamenhof, creator of Esperanto:

Historic woofs to two great men with great beards!

My dad had a fullbeard so did my uncle. The 70s must have been a great time for beards, what changed? I realized how nice a man looks with a beard when my dad trimmed it an inch short one day. I thought he looked ugly with a short beard and when I asked him why he did it he said in his business it was not cool to have a big beard. He had an achitectual company and I later found out someone suggested trimming the beard in hopes of scoring a contract. I wonder if the beard made a difference or not but it doesnt matter as I decided I would not do that to my face just cuz of a silly contract ;-)

Let it flow, tell him I do it to. Yesterday I paraded my beard throughout munich, a few old ladies ran when they see me but also many job offers for nicolaus. This beard is unbeatable in the constant entertainement it provides. Don't be shy! Grow it and showeth ;-)

Wow ... your beard looks even better than your last update several months ago (which was an amazing achievement by itself). I can't imagine anyone commenting negatively on that beard.

Congrats on the achievement. Planning on going for 2 years?

Dye? I'm pretty sure his beautiful multi-hued red beard is natural.

Owias, your fantastic 2-year beard will be here before you know it. Don't let rude comments from beard-envious friends/relatives keep you from your goal.

Difficult... he's very shy about wearing his beard unbraided in public, let alone on the Internet! I will have to talk to him...
