Check this out. A new beard is added (almost) every day, along with a brief Q & A with the beard grower.

When in doubt, grow it out.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to call your impressive facial hair into question, but It is my belief that Eduardo is a fraud. Over the years several people have pointed out many different Photoshop retouchings in his photos, and no one on this board has ever seen him in person. He has boasted about coming to enter various beard competitions, but every time something has come up that prevented him from appearing.

I hope I didn't put you off...

Oh gosh no, I do know he's straight and lives in Mexico City I have some close ups of his stache and it looks real to me. But
Why do I know lol
Eduardo is not a fraud.

He has many, many photos of himself of this board, with many different styles and many stages of growth from stubble to ultra-long. He actively encouraged others to grow beards as well, and this was in a time and in a culture where growing a beard like his was a very rare thing. I had some video-chats with him long ago, and his beard was quite real. He made the "mistake" of posting a few photos where he'd used an image-processing program to fill in a patch or augment/exaggerate a feature, one of which was (I though) rather hilarious and I assumed he'd posted as a joke, but people on here got quite upset and accusatory, and his postings became much less frequent after that.
